Today I submitted my first photo to the WordPress Photo Directory. The process itself was simple:

1. I went to wordpress.org/photos and clicked “Submit Your Photo”
2. Logged in with my wordpress.org account
3. Uploaded the JPEG file
4. Wrote a short description in English (a few words describing what the photo shows)
5. Confirmed that the photo is mine and that I’m releasing it under a CC0 license
6. Clicked Submit

After submitting, the photo enters a moderation queue, reviewed by volunteers — usually within 24 to 72 hours. It’s a small first step, but it’s my first real, verifiable contribution to the WordPress project.

I decided to upload in small batches of 5 photos rather than all at once, so I can correct anything if a photo gets rejected before submitting the rest.
